Tennis Center
Our superb tennis facility features an excellent choice of five composition (lighted) and three hard courts. Sedgefield has a reputation for having some of the highest regarded and manicured composition tennis courts in the triad area. The Tennis Pro Shop offers a wide assortment of apparel and equipment for all of your tennis needs. The Facility offers customized racquet stringing and a state of the art ball machine.
Sedgefield’s Director of Tennis/Head Professional is Allen Michael. Allen is a PTR Certified Professional and PTR National Tester. He is also a member of the USTA and USRSA. Allen is assisted by Jennifer Matthew, who is also a PTR Certified Professional. The Tennis Staff provides excellent service and profound instruction for all ages and abilities.
Sedgefield’s Tennis Program offers its members team and individual opportunities to grow their knowledge and abilities within tennis through 3 divisions of ladies Gate City teams, men’s and ladies USTA teams, Junior Interclub teams and Rallyball teams. Adults and juniors ages 4 and up participate in team matches, private lessons and group clinics/camps throughout the year.
The Tennis Calendar is filled with many opportunities for the Tennis enthusiasts. From fun socials to our premier member-guest events or junior golf/tennis camps, our members can really enjoy their tennis. Most of our Club Championship events conclude the year during our gorgeous Fall weather in North Carolina.
